APOY Round Eight

1st September 2008

Round 8 My Life

Round 8, My Life, is perhaps the most straightforward to date of our APOY 2008 themes, but also one of our most challenging. How do you live? That's what we want to know. This should be reportage with a bit of introspection. Think about how the goings-on around you tie into your own experience and how you can express those visually to give us a flavour of your existence.
Composition is key in this round. Perhaps you run a small business and want to place your camera at till level and set a long exposure to record the customers coming in and out of your shop. Maybe you want a wideangle lens to capture the foot traffic on your high street. Or if you're home-bound you might consider different techniques or formats to frame your existence there. Is your home life different from your life at work? Maybe combining two images into one frame could express this point. The options are plenty!

The closing date for APOY Round 8 entries is 26 September. See AP 6 September for an entry form.
